Techniques & Innovation

In June 2024, the Group Standard of Donghai County Handmade Press On Nails Industry Association--T/DHCDJ 001-2024 was released on the national group standard information platform. This is the first group standard for evaluation of handmade press on nails released in China. Donghai Nails are obliged to abide by all the standards to ensure the quality of all products.

Supply and Management of Raw Materials

Stable Supply Chain

With support from various sides such as strategical support from the local government and endeavour made by ambitious enterprises, Donghai has not only established partnership with many raw material suppliers but also built some raw material suppliers of its own.

Donghai selects multiple suppliers as sources of raw materials to avoid over-reliance on a single supplier. Maintaining regular communication and exchanges with suppliers to understand their production conditions, inventory status and possible problems will help to identify and solve problems in a timely manner and ensure a smooth supply of raw materials.

Advanced Equipment And Technology

We are equipped with advanced Japanese all-electric injection molding machines and advanced machine-made nail printing machines, and have obtained multiple patents for nail tip molding. In addition to this, the following are some of the equipment we use in the production process:

(1) Automatic Molding Machines: These machines use heated molds to help shape the base of the nail tip. They can quickly and consistently form nail tips of consistent size and shape from the molten material.

(2) UV Curing Devices: UV curing devices are essential for the application of UV gel or acrylic resins commonly used in artificial nail production. They harden the layers of these materials applied to the nail tip under ultraviolet light.

(3) Polishing Machines: After the curing process, polishing machines can smooth out any blemishes or rough spots on the surface of the nail.

(4) Packing Machinery: Professional packaging machinery ensures that the nails are neatly arranged, protected from damage, and displayed in an attractive manner for sale.

(5) Quality Control Inspection Equipment: This may include magnifying glasses, lighting tools, and various measuring equipment for checking the size, strength, and aesthetics of the nails. Ensuring high quality standards requires strict inspections throughout the production process.

(6) Raw Material Handling Equipment: Proper handling of raw materials can maintain consistency in the manufacturing process. This may include mixers, blenders or extruders to prepare the raw materials to be injected into the mold.

Stock Management

Raw material inventory management

Record the incoming, outgoing and inventory balance of raw materials in real time through the intelligent warehouse data system. Each movement of raw materials has detailed records of time, quantity and operator to ensure traceability.

Semi-finished product inventory management

Flexibly adjust the production quantity of semi-finished products according to changes in sales orders and the status of finished product inventory to avoid overproduction and inventory backlog.

Finished product inventory management

Perform a comprehensive inventory of finished product inventory every week or month to ensure the accuracy of inventory data. Conduct in-depth analysis of inventory surplus and shortage, find out the reasons and take corresponding improvement measures.

How Do We Manage the Quality?

Quality Control Processes and Standards

(1) Incoming Quality Control: We ensure that all raw materials and components entering our production facilities meet standards. We perform checks on incoming materials, including material integrity, color, and surface imperfections. We also test nail polishes for viscosity, drying time, and colorfastness.

(2) Design Quality Control: Our team follows a rigorous process and conducts market research to understand trends and customer preferences. We develop prototypes and evaluate their durability, such as testing them on multiple users when designing a new style.

(3) Manufacturing Quality Control: During the manufacturing process, we have multiple checkpoints to monitor the production line. From shaping the nail to applying the coating, if the nail polish is not applied evenly, the product is rejected and the process is re-evaluated.

(4) Final Quality Control: Each finished product undergoes a comprehensive final inspection. This includes visual inspection, testing bond strength, and verifying color differences and pattern lines. In addition, nails are tested for simulated wear to ensure that they can withstand normal use.

(5) External Quality Control: Even after the product leaves our factory, we monitor customer feedback and conduct post-sales analysis. If there are repeated complaints about a specific design or quality aspect, we investigate and implement improvements in subsequent production processes.

(6) Once the handmade press on nails are completed, designated quality inspectors will conduct a thorough quality inspection in strict accordance with the group standard for handmade press on nails established by the Donghai County Press On Nails Association, ensuring the quality of each product.
